Mr Madhukar Talwalkar, Chairman of Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Pvt Ltd. signed the agreement with Mr Kishore Biyani on June 8, 2006. Madhukar Talwalkar imparted a scientific, disciplined and customer-friendly perspective to fitness and health regimes offered at their gyms. It is because of this that Talwalkar gyms are now perceived more as a health centre where customer health is treated with sensitivity and care, and the user-friendly environs and world-class facilities make the experience wholesome and encouraging.

Mr Kishore Biyani, CEO of the Future Group (formerly Pantaloon Group) said,"Today, there is a new, and young India emerging, who, apart from wanting different things, are also focused on fitness and health. We are very happy to be partnering Talwalkars , who are a very well known Indian brand, in this venture. "

A part of the Wellness business of Pantaloon Retail India Ltd; this new venture will be established as a new brand under which the new formats would be run. The aim is to create Gymnasiums/ Spa & Fitness services and Retailing of Fitness equipment in Modern retail formats (Malls) across the country.

The Gyms will be operated with Talwalkars expertise, and PRIL will provide expertise on our consumer understanding and real estate space.

The First two Gyms will be coming up at Bangalore (Old Madras Road) and Mumbai central (Orchid City Centre) in the next 90 days.
